On Feb. 20-21, the Masters Department of Performing Arts (DOPA), debuted “Pippin,” this year's winter musical. Jack Sobolewski ‘27 stars in the main role as Pippin, who throughout the duration of the play, is trying to find his purpose in life. Pippin goes through any means necessary to achieve fulfillment, including love, lust and power.

Vincent Von Jan ‘27, who plays Lewis, stands on stage under the focus of a bright spotlight. In this scene, he has just been introduced by Leading Player who describes him as loving weightlifting, wrestling and, most importantly, himself. Scenes like these were carefully rehearsed by actors and crew during tech week to ensure that they ran smoothly.
Tech week brings "Pippin" to life
Bella Danahy-Levine '26 throws a bowl on the pottery wheel in the ceramics studio. Danahy-Levine, Bennet Sonnenberg '26 and Caitlin Berry '28 are spearheading the event under the guidance of Upper School Visual Art Teacher Stephanie Mestyan. The Empty Bowls team will sell bowls on May 1, and the proceeds will go to Feeding Westchester.
