Sophia Brousset

Sophia Brousset, Lead News Editor

In just third grade, Sophia Brousset founded her own school paper and wrote her first ever article, an opinion piece about Silly Bandz. Now, she’s Tower’s Lead News Editor, and has covered topics ranging from the dress philosophy to the removal of co-chair, Ahnaf Taha.  Brousset edits all news pieces and helps decide what gets put in the paper.

Brousset loves the rush journalism gives her. Having her voice heard by the school, especially through opinion pieces, appeals to her. To Brousset, Tower is a special, it’s its own little family within Masters.

Brousset said she always loved writing. She was originally interested in creative writing, but as she grew older and her style developed she realized it was better for journalism.

Brousset is interested in international relations and promoting what is just. Both her role in Tower and as MUN president help her advocate for her views on these topics.
