The independent school admissions landscape has been transformed by the COVID-19 pandemic and shaken by the nationwide reckoning with overt and systemic racism following the death of George Floyd last May. With the first year of a new “test-blind” policy for standardized testing added into the mix, the admissions cycle for the 2021-2022 school year at Masters, and other independent schools across the country, has been one of uncertainty and forced adaptation.
