Tower

Profile: Emma Luis

A natural born wanderluster, Editor-in-Chief Emma Luis bounced to and from her birthplace in Tokyo, Japan and the suburbs of New York City until mid-2010. She came to Masters in 2015 as a freshman, where she seized her love for writing, taking the Introduction To Journalism class her freshman year. Later, she joined the Tower staff.

Luis, throughout her childhood, was always found with a pen in hand. She was commonly told she had a natural talent for writing and has always loved reading. Luis joined Tower as an outlet: where she can express her feelings through writing.

Luis began her career on Tower as Web Editor, designing and managing the Tower webpage. Later, she took on the role of News Editor and is now serving as the Editor-in-Chief for Tower. Although Luis doesn’t currently plan on studying journalism in college, she is confident that the abundance of skills that she gained from Tower will carry over into engineering school at Tufts University.
