Things to do when stuck inside
October 22, 2014
Now that winter is coming, there will be many days where it is wet, cold and muddy outside and you might not want to go outside. As you might get really bored indoors after a couple of hours, I made a list of things you can do for the days you are stuck inside. Try some of them out, I know for a fact I enjoy doing every single thing on my list, even on days where I am not stuck inside.
1) Build a fort from pillows, blankets and chairs. When your fort is ready, grab a good book to read or a good movie (Harry Potter or Tim Burton Movies are my personal favorites). Do not forget the most essential part of your fort, FOOD.
2) Bake cookies or brownies. One piece of advice from me is not to use a recipe that you have memorized, or else you might end up with cookies hard as rocks that might break your teeth.
3) Go on a scavenger hunt to find old photos of your parents or even yourself. You might end up finding photos of your brother in a dress or your dad with a pony tail, which can be handy in the future.
4) Even if it is your 50th time reading it, re-read one of your favorite books.
5) Read a new book that might possibly be your new favorite book. I currently love Agatha Christie novels.
6) Take a nap. You don’t know when you will get the chance again.
7) Start a daily journal. It will come in handy if you are like me and want to remember everything, significant or insignificant.
Finally, force yourself to study for that math test you have in a week or your essay that is due tomorrow. I know procrastinating is a disease and I have it too, but you will be thanking yourself later when you get a good grade on your test.
