Spicy Peanut Pasta

So, this is a recipe I’ve wanted to try for a while, and I finally got up the courage and discovered it was fantastic! It’s a kind of Asian-inspired dish, with sesame peanut sauce that can go on anything (though it is excellent on pasta). It’s simple enough to be made in a lunch period, and it’s tasty enough to make it a go-to on days when everything else is unappetizing. I do suggest if one is making pasta that you check out what kind the dining hall made, since some pasta’s are better for this (I think penne is especially good).
Ingredients (remember these are all estimates):
1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
1 Teaspoon Sriracha Sauce (though this varies depending on how spicy you want it)
1 Tablespoon Peanut Butter
2 Cups Pasta
Alfalfa Sprouts (Optional)
Broccoli (Optional)
Start at the salad bar- this is where the sesame oil and Sriracha are located- get a bowl and put those two ingredients in, then grab and fork and mix them together. Next make your way to the bread section and get your peanut butter. Mix with the other ingredients; it may seem like a hopeless mess at first, but persevere and it will get nice and smooth! Then, go get your pasta and mix it all in. It’s great just like that, but I also like to add some alfalfa sprouts and broccoli from the salad bar to give it some freshness and crunch. Enjoy!
