Saying Farewell (for now…)

The departure of the Irish left me feeling empty in some ways, but fulfilled in others. The experiences we shared as a group were brilliant, and the collaboration we did was evidence that two groups of people who care enough about the same thing can accomplish anything they put their minds to.

On the day that they left, I was keeping the finality of the situation out of my mind as much as possible. A few of us went down into town for some pizza at the Parlor, and a walk around town. We spent the time reminiscing, and enjoying each other’s company.

After we got back to the dorms, I had only an hour before I had to help my new roommate Ciaran move out, and then exchange hugs at the circle with everyone. You will all be greatly missed, and I sincerely hope that we all meet again somewhere, sometime. May the road rise up to meet you…
