I spoke to Abbey Frank ’15 and Max Ishmael ’15 when we were all taking a break during audio rehearsal for Great Gig.

“Although I’m in swing band and he’s in jazz band, I just love it when he’s here because he’s like my rock when we’re onstage. And he almost keeps me together, and he’s the reason I don’t fall apart. I don’t know, I can’t really imagine my life without him.”

“She’s my rock as well. When I was in a bad spot, talking to Abbey always made me feel better. The trust is tremendous. In previous years, we’d go to the music building and we’d just jam together. She’d sing, I’d play piano or the trumpet. And there was this loose feeling, which was amazing, and something only a musician can define.”
