Girls’ Lacrosse Team Gets That W

On the 28th of April, 2016, the Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse team won a hard fought victory against their opponents. With a great showing all around, and incredible teamwork, the Girls’ Lacrosse team came together and shone.

“We worked really hard as a team and our dynamic really showed how much we care about each other,” said Ella Hogan, a member of the team. Though at the end of the first half the team was behind 5-3, they performed incredibly well and came back to win a 9-7 victory.

Mr. Shear, one of the coaches, spoke his thoughts about the match. “Everybody chipped in, it was an all around team effort, and we’re really proud of the team for getting together and gettin’ that W.” Said Shear.

Though the match was won through team effort, some people certainly made their presence known and shone on the field. Liv Jonke and Emma Friedman both scored more than once, with Liv scoring 3 times and Emma scoring twice, along with getting an assist. Ella Hogan, Katie Sherman, Willa Dow, and Rachel Saunders also scored.

We could not talk about the team’s victory without speaking about Grace Rosner, the goalie of the team who made a fantastic 16 saves in total.

All in all, way to go girls! And, as Mr. Shear said, great job gettin’ that W.
