Spanish Seminars wish Masters “feliz navidad”
December 19, 2021
Spanish seminar class has been participating in a tradition of studying and performing Parrandas, traditional carnival-like street parties, every year as part of their studies in Latin American culture. After two years where the class could not perform their parrandas due to COVID, the annual tradition is back on its feet. Upper School Spanish teacher Roberto Mercades began this tradition when he first started working at Masters five years ago and believes that though this activity, students learn about the Spanish heritage and culture while creating a love for Spanish in the students and spreading holiday cheer.
