What My Brain Does in Class
May 3, 2014
In high school it is very important to do well in your classes. However, I find that challenging considering what my brain does in most of my classes. I have the attention span of a five year old so I usually find myself replaying Seinfeld episodes in my mind or re-watching Harry Potter movies. Sometimes, I even fall asleep when my eyes are open. Rarely when I am able to focus the following happens:
-Brain: Hey are you finally concentrated?
-Me: Yeah, why?
-Brain: Oh nothing, I just wanted to remind you how embarrassing it was when you fell out of your chair in math class.
Therefore, the same cycle of trying to focus and fail happens all over again. I am sure most teenagers deal with these issues about focusing and getting work done. However, I recently came to the realization that whenever my brain decides to torture me I am able to control it and get back on track.
