Drew Schott, Op-Ed Design Editor
Senior Drew Schott, an Opinion Design Editor on Tower, hopes to enter the field of journalism as his profession. Schott, since joining the paper sophomore year as a Foreign Affairs Columnist, has written articles about various topics including Masters’ change in athletic league membership, the 2017 California wildfires and how Masters alumni were impacted by Amazon’s proposed HQ2 in Long Island City. As a junior, he served as Features Editor.
This past summer, Schott attended the Medill-Northwestern Journalism Institute, a five-week journalism intensive at Northwestern University where he learned critical journalistic skills. In August, his article about the construction of Ryan Fieldhouse and Northwestern’s ability to recruit high-school football players was published in The Daily Northwestern, the University’s newspaper.
Schott will be attending Northwestern, where he plans to double major in journalism and either political science or international studies. Once on campus, he hopes to join The Daily Northwestern.
