After months of rehearsal, set designing and technical coordination, Masters MainStage put on their fall production of Journey to the West on October 27, 28 and 29.  The play follows the story of a Buddiest monk Sanzang (played by junior Jessie Xie) as he embarks on a pilgrimage to India in search of holy scriptures. Not only is this story regarded as a Chinese classic, but also as one of the most popular literary works in all of Eastern Asia.
