Tangherlini PhotoMasters has been Stazi Tangherlini’s home almost as long as she can remember. Raised on campus from the age of six, while her mother, Gina Apostle, was Chair of the English Department, she started at the Masters Middle School and graduated in 2009. Now after her 12-year Masters history, the former DAA co-president, Mish rep and captain of three sports, has returned to her childhood home.

Community Service Director Amy Atlee has left the school for the year and Tangherlini is filling in for her. Tangherlini will be taking on all of the roles of Atlee for the year with the exception of teaching yoga. She will also advise the yearbook.

A graduate from the University of Chicago, the interim community service director spent her first year out of school working in social activism, as a youth instructor for Greencorps, a math tutor for Matchcorps, and as a campaigner.

“I’m really excited to be able to bring what I’ve learned in the last five years in community engagement to the community I grew up in,” Tangherlini said.
