“When watching a movie before [taking Film Theory, OnLocation, and Foundations in Video], I would just sit back and eat some popcorn, passively watch, follow the plot, and notice a few things with some meaning and symbolism. But now that I’ve gotten this experience, I can totally understand what’s going on in the background with all these people and all these crew members. Through these classes I’ve really learned how much work it takes, and how much things could go wrong, but also how much things could go right.”-Annie Canning ’16

“I’ve realized the importance of everyone’s role and what they bring to the whole equation. Although some of us have different roles, some of us are leaders in specific parts, everyone is doing something that helps. So a really good lesson that I’ve learned from this class is that no matter what your part is, you’re a part of the team and it’s contributing something and it’s helping everyone else around you. It relates to Harkness in a way.” -Aliya Schneider ’16
