Ella Liu, a sophomore and the Features Editor for Tower, enjoys writing and highlighting lesser- known aspects of school life. One of her favorite parts of working on the Tower staff involves seeing her work receive compliments by other people. She joined Tower this year to pursue her passion in writing and to gain the opportunity for regular publication, something she felt was difficult to achieve as a student. Liu, an avid reader, said she believes that reading helps grow her skills in journalism. Outside of journalism, she enjoys reading science fiction, plays the cello and guitar, fences and plays soccer.
