Kate Sibery, Editor-in-Chief

Kate Sibery, a senior and editor-in-chief, has been writing for Tower for two years. Over this past summer, she participated in the Stanford Daily Journalism Program and successfully published one article with them. Meanwhile, she also occasionally writes for her town’s newspaper, the Pelham Examiner, and aspires to continue writing in college. Sibery said she felt especially proud after writing a story wherein she interviewed six congressional candidates in June, one of which was actually elected. She said her sense of accomplishment in journalism comes from the appreciation of her readers and collaboration with her colleagues. While being an accomplished journalist, she has also participated in the school dance company for four years and enjoyed dancing with this big community. One astounding ability Kate possesses is her superpower of remembering people’s birthdays. Next time you see her, don’t forget to tell her your birthday!
