December 15.  The Masters Boys Varsity Basketball team beat Columbia Preparatory 71-57 in an electric game.

One moment that stood out was when senior Nathaniel Lothain was pushed over and fell on his back. This sparked a passion in the team, as they ended up stretching their lead following that play.

Junior Samson Mines said “I feel like every moment pushes you further and further…any little tough finish or impressive moment can really fire up the team.”

Sophomore Omari Levy had an amazing performance, with 22 rebounds and over 25 points. His efforts helped to secure the win for Masters.

Head Coach Joey Kuhl said, “He’s got a lot of talent.  We’re really excited to have him in our program.”

Another standout player was senior and co-captain of the team, Adam Bello. He always seemed to be the first to high five somebody after a good play or help a teammate get back up when they fell down. Bello had 12 points from live play, including a fast break layup off of a steal to set the tone at the beginning of the first quarter.
