Elijah Emery, Sports Design Editor
Elijah (Eli) Emery, Tower’s Sports Design Editor, joked that his favorite part of Tower is: “the room.” He enjoys spending late nights at layout with his friends in the Tower lab and “hanging out with Ms. Cowhey.” Eli got his start on Tower when his mother, English teacher Miriam Emery, told him to join. At first, he wasn’t sure being a staff member was for him, so during his sophomore year, he wrote a column on voting rights. He then rejoined because he simply needed access to the Tower Lab. Outside of Tower, Emery enjoys fencing and, “sauc[ing] the disc down on the quad.” Now a senior, Eli is known for his political rants in Model UN and Debate, his topical poetry, and his role in school politics as Co-Chair.
