Ayanna Beckett, Lead Opinion Editor
One game of eeny-meeny-miny-moe can change your life, at least that’s what senior Ayanna Beckett believes. Stuck between too many minor course options freshman year, Beckett left things up to a simple game of fate, unknowingly setting herself up for the next four years in journalism. Now, Beckett stands among the three longest-serving student members of Tower, currently acting as the lead opinion editor. Last year, Beckett served as lead of photography, coming in first place for the prestigious PSJA (Private School Journalism Association) Photographer of the Year Award. Beyond the school newspaper, one can find her leading the clubs Onyx, Scheme, and Diversity Ambassadors, in addition to participating in the theater arts program.
