Ayanna Beckett, Visuals Director & Op-Ed Editor

Ayanna Beckett, a junior from NJ, serves as the opinion section editor and the visuals director of Tower and has been part of the newspaper staff for two years. Beckett has written a variety of articles about AI, boarder life, and affirmative action. She considers her affirmative action story her strongest piece yet. Beckett is passionate about theatre, which she takes part in all three seasons of the year. She is also involved with many clubs like Onyx, SCEEM, and Gold Key, where she enjoys giving tours to prospective families. Going forward, Beckett hopes to pursue a career in political journalism in DC during her college years.
