The Little Moments

Margaret Dupree

I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard or so much than on our trip in Ireland. Everyone in our group has their distinct sense of humor and when they all combine we ended up with a never ending chain of inside jokes. In fact it’s nearly impossible to describe the trip without mentioning Amanda, food, Ms. Tregar and the Bodhran, the cylinder in the squ- the cube in the- the tube in the box- the OH! The tube in the cube, and so many more. The inside jokes were created from little moments, but those little moments are what helped bring the group closer together. We had major moments like visiting Newgrange, working with falcons, taking a dance class, and meeting our fellow Irish students; but, in between these moments were a series of small ones. These small moments were sitting in a cafe and coding, walking through Dublin and having rap battles, riding on the LUAS or the DART, anything really, all the way to late night hang outs in hotel rooms. The big moments on the trip were important, but these big moments are surrounded by equally as awesome small moments. So I guess, like life, this trip will marked by the big moments and remembered for the small ones, and all around enjoyed.
