Mr. Cheney, or B Chainz as he is known to many, is a new addition to the Master’s community.  This laid back blonde fellow teaches our youth about religion and history.  But who truly is this laid back gent, who is the man behind the calm and relaxed demeanor?

It is slightly ironic that Cheney is a teacher considering he didn’t even take school seriously until high school.  Even then, his first priority was never really academics, as music ruled his life.  Cheney and his friends had a punk band called Tuesday Mafia.  He said that Friday afternoon came, they would put away the books, go to his friends and jam out.  The band would not emerge from their 8×8 practice studio until Sunday afternoon.  Despite all their hard work, they were mostly a local sensation.  While they never made it big, they did have over an hour of original material, and played at Webster Theater.

From punk rocker, Cheney moved on to go to Trinity College.  While at Trinity he majored in Greek and Latin.  He loved it, but as with all classics majors had to find something to do with it.  Moving on in life, he went to Yale divinity school.  He uses his training today to teach World Religions, and he loves it.

From lazy student to punk rocker, from classics major to reverend Cheney, much like the Hindis he has studied he has taken on many incarnations.  Who knows where his life will take him, but right now he is happy being Mr. Cheney, a religion and social studies teacher at The Masters School.
