Jasmine Mao
The 2026-27 school year marks junior Jasmine Mao’s first year as a member of the Tower staff. Jasmine first became interested in journalism as a freshman, when she was handed a copy of a Tower issue during Morning Meeting. From that moment, she chose to pursue journalism because of its powerful capability to bridge communities. In her sophomore year, she became a Tower columnist, with her column “ Culture Shocks” highlighting different cultures of international students at Masters. As she grows through journalism, she hopes to be able to broaden her perspective while developing a sense of awareness. Jasmine strives to explore all of the different sections of journalism as well as develop a better grasp of multimedia.
