“I’m not surprised by how stressed I am, but I am surprised by how I am comfortable in my stress. Last year, coming in as a sophomore at Masters, I did not feel like I could be myself right away, as anyone coming into a new environment would. After spending a year here, and finding a place where I can be comfortable, this year feels like it’s flowing more naturally, even though I am stressed out of my mind…”

I have become so accustomed to stress and deadlines that I’ve forgotten it’s abnormal. I have trouble sleeping and as my teachers know I am late to class constantly, but I have accepted it as a part of my life. Of course I am overloaded, stressed, and sleep-deprived! It’s just a part of highschool! Like Katie said, I am comfortable in my stress. I find comfort in my act and spending time with friends, but with the quarter ending it feels like time is running out. School has become a balancing act. I’m just waiting for something to drop.

Thank you to Katie Kenna.
