Panthers break records at FAA track championships

On Saturday, May 11, the Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA) Track meet took place at The Brunswick School in Connecticut. Participating  schools included Greenwich Academy, Greens Farms Academy, Brunswick, Greenwich Country Day, King, Rye Country, Sacred Heart, Hopkins, Holy Child, and of course, The Masters School. 

Masters took the meet by storm, with our boys team coming in third place overall. Multiple Panthers took a top winning spot: Emmanuel Harris ’24 won the 110 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles. Nick Moutsatsos ’25 placed second in the 100 meter finals. In addition, Moutsatsos took first in the boys 200 and has taken the spot of #13 in New York. Henry Frasca ’28 placed second in the 800 meter, while Charlie Milward ’24 took third. Tozai Kawabata ’25 placed fourth in the 3000 meter race. Bennet Sonnenburg ’26 placed third in high jump, and Tyler Lovejoy ’24, placed fourth. 

Of course, our famed 4×400 team placed second. 

In addition to the impressive array of places earned, multiple school record were broken at FAA this Saturday. Frasca broke a school record in the 800 meter race. Oliver Jones ’24 broke a school record in Javelin. Nick Moutsatsos set a new school record in the 200 meter race. Anna Shub ’25 broke a school record in the women’s 1500 meter and 800 meter races. Sarah Christie ’25 broke a triple jump record. 

Overall, an incredibly impressive meet for our school! As always, roll panths!
